Il Single Malt No Aged Yoichi Nikka è un Whisky giapponese elegante e fine dal profilo particolarmente morbido ed equilibrato. È prodotto dalla più famosa e importante distilleria del Sol Levante, che nel corso di neppure un secolo di storia, ha saputo ritagliarsi un posto di assoluto prestigio nel panorama mondiale del Whisky. La distilleria Yoichi è la più antica e rinomata distilleria di Nikka, fondata nel 1934 nell’isola di Hokkaido sopra una sorgente d’acqua sotterranea, tra il Mar del Giappone e le montagne. Materie prime di eccellente qualità, la raffinata arte della distillazione nipponica, già patrimonio dei produttori di sakè, e una cura particolare per i processi di maturazione in legno hanno permesso a Nikka di proporre delle etichette di qualità assoluta. Il Whisky Single Malt No Aged Yoichi Nikka non potrebbe esistere senza la figura di Masataka Taketsuru, a cui si deve l’introduzione della cultura del Whisky in Giappone. Nato in una famiglia che da generazioni produceva sakè, Taketsuru intraprese un viaggio in Scozia alla scoperta del Whisky, fermandosi anche a lavorare in alcune distillerie delle Highlands. Al suo ritorno in Giappone, possedeva tutte le conoscenze necessarie per cominciare a produrre Whisky. Scelse la verde e incontaminata zona di Hokkaido per cominciare la sua avventura. Le acque cristalline delle sorgenti, il malto e la torba di qualità, completarono il quadro di questo piccolo angolo di Scozia trasferito dall’altra parte del mondo. Oggi la distilleria Nikka è conosciuta in tutto il mondo e i suoi distillati sono apprezzati dagli intenditori per la raffinata eleganza e la straordinaria pulizia espressiva. Il Whisky No Aged Yoichi Nikka è un Single Malt è prodotto con malto d’orzo di primissima qualità e un’accurata distillazione in alambicchi tradizionali in rame di tipo Pot Still riscaldati a fuoco diretto con carbone naturale. Nel bicchiere ha un colore giallo dorato, luminoso e intenso. Il profilo olfattivo esprime fragranti aromi di frutta gialla matura, morbide sfumature di frutta tropicale, aromi di cedro e scorza d’agrumi, cenni di vaniglia, su un sottofondo piacevolmente maltato. L’ingresso al palato è morbido e avvolgente, con aromi eleganti e raffinati, che si distendono in modo molto armonioso verso un finale fresco, sapido e con sensazioni leggermente fumé. È un Single Malt molto elegante, con un giusto bilanciamento tra frutto, freschezza sapida e leggera torbatura finale.
