Si tratta di un Barolo, che viene prodotto solo nelle annate favorevoli con una selezione delle migliori uve della tenuta, situata nel cuore del territorio di Monforte d’Alba. La straordinaria qualità dei grappoli di nebbiolo e il lungo percorso di maturazione in legno e di affinamento in bottiglia, regalano un vino d’assoluta eccellenza. Elegante, profondo e austero, è un Barolo raffinato e intenso, che unisce alla finezza delle note floreali e fruttate un sorso lungo, complesso e persistente. Una grande bottiglia da aprire in occasioni speciali. Il Magnum “Riserva Runcot” è una delle etichette più prestigiose della cantina di Elio Grasso. La tenuta si trova nella zona Ginestra, all’interno del territorio comunale di Monforte d'Alba. Le prime bottiglie sono state prodotte sul finire degli anni ’70, seguendo le antiche consuetudini delle Langhe e con i vitigni da sempre presenti in quest’angolo di Piemonte. La cantina ha mantenuto un’impostazione familiare, con una passione ancora animata da un sincero spirito artigianale. Grazie all’attenta cura della vigna e a vinificazioni molto rispettose della qualità delle uve, le etichette di Elio Grasso si sono affermate tra gli appassionati, che amano il gusto autentico della terra delle Langhe e dei suoi vini. Il “Riserva Runcot” Barolo di Elio Grasso nasce dalle splendide vigne di oltre 30 anni coltivate a circa 300-350 metri d’altitudine, su terreni di pregiate marne argillo-calcaree. Al termine della vendemmia, i migliori grappoli sono selezionati e avviati alla fermentazione in serbatoi d’acciaio inox a temperatura controllata. Il vino matura in barrique di rovere francese per circa 60 mesi e completa il lungo percorso d’affinamento con 18-24 mesi in bottiglia prima della messa in vendita. Nel calice si presenta di colore rosso granato intenso con riflessi leggermente aranciati. Il bouquet esprime note floreali, di spezie, erbe balsamiche, aromi di piccoli frutti a bacca rossa e sfumature tostate. Il sorso è lungo e profondo, di grande eleganza e complessità, con una tessitura tannica sottile e un finale fresco e persistente. Un Magnum di grande eleganza, vera espressione del terroir!
