Il Pinot Nero “Pomino” di Frescobaldi è un vino giocato su eleganza e armonia, espressione di una delle cantine che hanno fatto la storia italiana. Una vera e propria istituzione quella dei Frescobaldi, storica cantina italiana, tra le più antiche di cui si ha traccia negli annali, tantoché la sua fondazione risale addirittura al 1300. Una storia dinastica, fatta di acquisizioni e consolidazione di uno stile che è diventato marchio di fabbrica della cantina, non solo per ciò che concerne la qualità dei liquidi. Gli enormi possedimenti di quasi 1000 ettari si estendono per tutto il territorio toscano, tra incantevoli paesaggi popolati da castelli, antiche dimore e ovviamente vigne, dove trovano coabitazione sia vitigni autoctoni che vitigni internazionali. La ricerca di equilibrio, eleganza e coesione ha da sempre contraddistinto i vini di Frescobaldi, arrivando a conquistare tutto il mondo. Il rosso “Pomino” è ottenuto da un’espressione di Pinot Nero in purezza, provenienti dalle vigne della tenuta. In vigna si rivolge massima attenzione al grado di maturazione fenolico delle uve, in modo da effettuare la vendemmia solo quando perfettamente mature. Dopo cernita accurata dei grappoli si procede con fermentazione alcolica in tini troncoconici di rovere da 60 hl con macerazione sulle bucce per 2 settimane e successiva fermentazione malolattica in barrique di rovere francese. Il liquido affina per 15 mesi sempre in barrique. Il Frescobaldi “Pomino” si presenta nel calice con veste rubina orlata da riflessi granati. Naso definito e variegato, declinato su sentori di marasca, frutti di bosco, cacao, caffè e cannella, per un profilo che congiunge ricchezza di frutto e note dolci. Il sorso è elegante e misurato, dotato di morbida tattilità e freschezza che ritorna piacevolmente sul finale. Rappresentativo.
