Il produttore a deciso di produrlo nel 2007, dopo aver avuto la fortuna di assaggiare in tre diverse occasioni un Carricante di 42 anni. Si rivelò talmente bello questo vino, così impeccabile e vigoroso nonostante la sua venerabile età, che l'azienda decise di tentare di produrre qualcosa di simile. Il vino viene fermentato e affinato in botti da 10 ettolitri. E' un vino la cui rara complessità fiorisce meravigliosamente nel tempo.
