Il Barolo Riserva “Monvigliero” di Castello di Verduno nasce nell’omonima collina, a 280 metri sul livello del mare, su vigneti completamente esposti a Sud. L’esposizione del vigneto e la composizione del suolo, in prevalenza marne bianche, rendono questa microzona una delle migliori dell’intero territorio di Barolo assieme al Cannubi. E’ qui che nasce il Barolo Riserva “Monvigliero”, un Barolo Riserva che si distingue per i delicati profumi e per l’eleganza che nel tempo evolve regalando sempre nuove sensazioni e sempre nuove emozioni. La vendemmia del Barolo Riserva “Monvigliero” del Castello di Verduno è manuale, mentre la macerazione viene eseguita con follature periodiche per 30 giorni; siamo di fronte a un Barolo Riserva che affina per 30 mesi in grandi botti di rovere, da 1 mese in vasche di acciaio e per 40 mesi in bottiglia, prima di essere commercializzato. Siamo di fronte a un Barolo Riserva “Monvigliero” che si presenta agli occhi con un bel colore rosso rubino; che regala al naso interessanti profumi di frutta rossa che evolvono verso le spezie, con un piacevole sentore di cannella. I tannini sono morbidi e accattivanti, la struttura e la freschezza sono notevoli.
